MAURICE BLAIN
Maurice Blain - a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, has more than 35 years of legal experience in representing clients who have suffered personal injuries in Alberta. The primary focus of his work is on investigating and building effective compensation claims for victims of serious injury and wrongful death.
Maurice is also a proud member, founder and ex-chairman of the International Avenue Business Revitalization Zone (17th Ave. SE). Apart from this, he is also a dedicated provider of pro bono legal services focused on assisting Calgary's Latin immigrant community.
Maurice received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

SHAYNA RISSEEUW
Shayna joined Blain Legal in 2013 after articling and practicing at a large regional firm. She practices primarily in the areas of personal injury and estate administration. She has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and has participated in a number of alternative dispute resolution processes.
Prior to attaining her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Calgary in 2010, Shayna graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (with Great Distinction) from the University of Lethbridge.

DANIEL JACKMAN
Daniel articled with a critical care air ambulance not-for-profit and a boutique civil litigation firm here in Calgary. Daniel’s primary practice areas include personal injury, wills and estates, corporate, commercial litigation, and privacy, cybersecurity and data protection.
Daniel provides client focused legal solutions. He has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta (Civil) and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, in addition to preparing submissions at the Alberta Court of Appeal.
Daniel is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA), and is currently a member of the Alberta CBA Editorial Committee for the quarterly publication of Law Matters.
Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (major) and Sociology (minor) at the University of Alberta, and later completed his law degree at the University of Southampton in England.
